Ka'imimoana

The TAO cruises are a cooperative research effort in which we make use of the NOAA Ka'imimoana (KA) RV that services the TAO moored buoy array in the South Pacific. The KA provides an ideal research and testing platform, allowing us to make measurements in remote areas of the open ocean.

The TAO 2011 cruise (July-August 2011) aboard the KA was an expedition for testing a ship based deployment and remote operation of the CE-DOAS
