Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
Joint with the CU Health Sciences Center
The Center for Phramaceutical Biotechnology is a interdisciplinary center conducting research on new advances in biotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences. Partners and supporters of the Center, which has research in analytical chemistry, drug delivery, e.g., microparticle and nanoparticle synthesis and coating, drug stability, and molecular biology, include Alza, Amgen, Baxter, Bayer, Biogen, Eli Lilly, Genentech, Merck, Novo Nordisk, RxKinetix, and Zymogenetics.

Interdisciplinary Quantitative Biology - Bioscience with an Altitude
We also participate in the Biofrontiers Institute’s Interdisciplinary Quantitative Biology (IQ Biology) program, which offers a two-year fellowship, a diverse interdisciplinary experience, and a certificate upon completion of your PhD.

Molecular Biophysics at the University of Colorado is a collaborative effort involving students, postdocs and faculty from five departments on the Boulder campus. Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences
The Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (PAOS) is an interdisciplinary program that provides an educational and research environment to examine the dynamical, physical, and chemical processes that occur in the atmosphere and the ocean. A major theme is the establishment of a physical basis for understanding, observing, and modeling climate and global change. This is an interdisciplinary certificate program requiring approval by the Certificate Committee of the proposed course selection and then completion with a grade of B or better a total of four courses from the approved list of courses.

The Signal Transduction and Cell Cycle Regulation Predoctoral Training Program
An interdisciplinary program offering specialized training in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, and biomolecular mass spectrometry as applied to cell regulation. Students must be accepted to Chemistry & Biochemistry Department or Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology Department.
Thin Films Research
Research that is focused on studying the growth, properties and applications of inorganic, organic and molecular thin films. A number of groups in both the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department and the Department of Chemical Engineering are involved.
